Channelle Charest - Co-Founder

I started getting tattoos when I was 16 with a fake ID and I knew if I ever got the shot to do it for a living I was going to take it. For the next 10 years, I continued building up my art portfolio, working in different industries, getting tattooed, and looking for an apprenticeship. I finally got my shot with Everett Verdialez from Faithful and True Tattoo in 2012 and I’ve been doing it ever since.

I’ve had two jobs and a side hustle for as long as I’ve been able to work. Over the years I am constantly looking for ways to maximize my time and minimize my frustration with the things that make me less productive. I had been tattooing full-time for 5 years when I decided to take a new position to expand my business knowledge and benefit my community. Knowing that I didn’t want to give up tattooing I was on the hunt for an app that could make my life easier and help me book clients more efficiently so when I had time for tattooing, I could actually Tattoo! There was NOTHING that was specific enough for the needs of the tattoo industry.  Enter my co-founder Greg Goforth, the developer wizard, and we started brainstorming a solution.

The result? Tatstat.io, a client-friendly scheduling app by tattoo artists for tattoo artists. We streamlined the booking process into something seamless. Our intuitive software is specialized in the tattoo industry, unlike other scheduling and payment processes. That’s because I’m actively working as an artist, helping the tattoo community and small businesses with my lived experiences. I’ve had to craft solutions while working in a world where women and minorities are less represented, and alongside my co-founder's tech experience we’ve created something truly special.

I hope you enjoy using Tatstat, and can’t wait to see what you accomplish.
